Carl Sagan, who inspired millions with his famous PBS series "COSMOS", achieved his life long ambition to visit the Red Planet he so loved. Viable clone embryos of Sagan DNA were included on the Pathfinder mission. Unusual radiation levels, Martian surface minerals have all accelerated cell division billions and billions of times faster than terrestrial conditions. The resourceful Cornell Astronomer has already proposed broadcasting a new TV series about Mars using the Pathfinder solar cells and transmitter. |
